IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“THIRTEEN FAU ARTISTS EXHIBIT IN DELRAY’S KEVRO ART BAR”
Kevro Art Bar, in downtown Delray Beach, will host an opening night reception from 6:30 to 10 P.M., May 2, to mark the exhibition of thirteen FAU student artists. The Exhibition, entitled, “Nowhere and Nowhere: 13 Artists,” will feature a spectrum of work, with some bordering on the sculptural but all concentrated in the realm of Painting.
Consider the following, everyone, I need your input to make this press release more specific and direct.
- Why should people care about this? We should treat this press release- as we would a piece which we are challenging in our own critiques in art class, I believe)
- How long do we want this to be? 1 paragraph? Short and sweet, right? Input?
- Do we want to be identified in our press release as: FAU Artists (or) FAU Student Artists? Since we are exhibiting out of FAU, anyway?
- (The Title Show has been decided on: “Nowhere and Nowhere: 13 Artists”)
But..Any thoughts on the present title of the press release? do we omit FAU Artists…
- Shall we present the title of our art exhibition w/in the press release title?
For example, “Nowhere and Nowhere: thirteen Artists Unleashed at Kevro Art Bar” (?)
Something Like that. We need it to jump out at readers… Unleashed..that’s jumpy.. hehe… ideas?
- Contacts.. At the end of this… we need contacts, Professor Liz? Myself? You?
There should be a small blurb, with like 2 contacts? don’t want to go overboard on contacts….
- Quotes? Professor Liz, a quote from you, perhaps, in the center of our press release?
(a quote that gives the release a personal touch. Touchy-feelies go a long way)
- As far as our musicians for the night, I believe we should just mention.. “...and musicians and Dj’s will be adding to the aura of the evening…" (?)
I’m researching, I’m pondering. This is a good start
Your feedback is valuable to me and to eachother
especially, for a clear, concise press release
I look forward to your suggestions.
I will repost this, as many times as is needed w/ corrections.
I'm hoping it can be ready to email to papers online by mid next week.
Thank you all
